This is an English translation for your information. The legally binding version is the German privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?

Some data is collected because you provide it to us, for example by filling in our contact form. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (e.g. browser type, operating system, time of the page request or IP address).

What do we use your data for?

  • to provide a website that works properly
  • to handle enquiries
  • to run the events and process ticket bookings
  • to ensure system security

2. Hosting

Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Server log files are collected to ensure secure and stable operation. In particular, the following data may be processed: IP address, date and time of the request, browser type, operating system, referrer URL and host name of the accessing computer. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR due to our legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider.

3. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption.

4. No cookies, locally hosted fonts

This website does not use cookies or any analytics, statistics or marketing tools. Fonts are loaded from our own server – there is no connection to Google or other font providers. Maps are not embedded; the “Plan your route” link only opens Google Maps in a new window after you click it.

5. Contacting us and contact form

If you contact us by email, phone or via our contact form, the data you provide (in particular your name, email address, phone number, selected event and the content of your message) is sent to us by email, stored and processed in order to handle your enquiry. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the performance of pre-contractual measures or on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was stored and no statutory retention periods apply.

6. Ticket booking via external providers

We sell tickets for our events through external ticket providers that are only linked on this website: for Ulm Swing Connection via DanceApp (danceapp.net), for Westiemas via our online ticket shop on Nimbuscloud (ticketing.nimbuscloud.at), which acts as our data processor. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you follow a booking link. The data processed there (in particular name, email address and payment details) is used to process your booking in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The privacy notices of the respective provider also apply.

7. Social media profiles

We maintain public profiles on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. These networks are only linked on our website, not embedded – so no data is transferred to the platforms unless you follow the links. If you visit our profiles, the platform operators process personal data under their own responsibility; you can find more information in their privacy notices.

8. Photos and videos at the events

Photos and videos are taken at our events. Processing is based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in documenting and presenting our events, or on your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Details are set out in our terms and conditions. You can object to publication at any time unless there are overriding legitimate interests.

9. Your rights

You have the right to request information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.

10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In the event of data protection violations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.

11. Storage period

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective processing purposes or as required by statutory retention periods.

12. Version

This privacy policy was last updated in October 2026. We reserve the right to amend it so that it always complies with current legal requirements.
